| General Description
SOUNDBLOX units are the
solution to acoustical correction and noise control problems in
masonry construction. Attractive, economical, and efficient
SOUNDBLOX are made locally near the jobsite by carefully selected
quality concrete block producers. These producers employ patented
Proudfoot molds designed to fit standard automatic block machines -
thereby assuring uniform quality and acoustical efficiency of each
SOUNDBLOX unit.
SOUNDBLOX have the same compressive strength as standard hollow
concrete masonry units. Installed conventionally with little or no
added labor, the in-place cost of SOUNDBLOX is low by comparison to
other acoustical treatments. Rugged and durable in construction,
SOUNDBLOX masonry units are an excellent choice for industrial
settings, gymnasiums, mechanical equipment rooms, water treatment
plants, and wherever noise is a problem.

BSORPTION
[NRC .85]
SOUNDBLOX wall as as a sound
absorber. Sound energy is absorbed rather than reflected,
dramatically reducing "reverberation times".
ARRIER
[STC 56]
SOUNDBLOX partition walls, in an
enclosed space, act as a barrier, greatly reducing sound energy from
being transmitted to an adjacent room, increasing speech privacy.
When used as an outside, free standing barrier, the high STC assures
maximum performance.
OMPOSITE:
An "Absorptive Barrier"
In addition to sound absorption,
SOUNDBLOX walls have superior sound transmission loss
characteristics when compared to ordinary hollow core CMU's made of
similar aggregates. The combination of an "Absorptive Barrier" makes
SOUNDBLOX ideal for applications such as Highway and Railway Noise
Barriers and Transformer Noise Screens.
